Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable commands a Rakdos midrange-combo deck that turns self-inflicted noncombat damage into massive Treasure generation. Because Smaug is indestructible, damage-based sweepers and targeted burns generate huge bursts of mana rather than destroying your board. The deck leverages this stockpile to assemble artifact-sacrifice engines and massive direct-damage finishes. Primary win conditions involve converting huge Treasure counts into lethal life drain via Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, and Disciple of the Vault, burning the table with Wrathful Red Dragon damage loops, casting a lethal Exsanguinate or Comet Storm, or simply securing an upkeep win with Hellkite Tyrant.
