Deck overview

This deck is a Naya land-animation and +1/+1 counters midrange deck helmed by Toph, the First Metalbender. Its primary game plan revolves around turning lands and non-token artifacts into resilient, hasty creature threats using the earthbend mechanic. Because earthbent lands automatically return to the battlefield tapped whenever they die or face exile, the deck develops an exceptionally durable mana base that shrugs off conventional sweepers. In the early turns, the deck ramps and deploys utility artifacts before casting Toph on Turn 4 to begin animating lands. From there, it layers compounding combat multipliers such as Bristly Bill, Spine Sower, The Earth Crystal, Bumi, Eclectic Earthbender, and Moraug, Fury of Akoum. Critical onset occurs around Turn 6, threatening lethal combat damage across the table by Turn 8. High-grade protection like Heroic Intervention and Sylvan Safekeeper shields nonland centerpieces, while efficient removal controls opposing threats.
