Deck overview

This mono-white aggro deck is commanded by Myrel, Shield of Argive and focuses on building an exponential army of Soldier creature tokens to overwhelm opponents in combat. Myrel provides built-in turn protection, acting as a one-sided Grand Abolisher that stops opponents from casting spells or activating artifact, creature, and enchantment abilities during your turn. The deck curves early utility Soldiers and anthems into a Turn 4 Myrel, attacking on Turn 5 and Turn 6 to double Soldier counts and build massive power. Support cards like Inspiring Leader, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, and Captain of the Watch magnify token output, while life-gain synergies from Soul Warden and Daxos, Blessed by the Sun provide a life buffer and +1/+1 counters. The deck's primary route to victory is wide combat damage on Turn 8. Its main limitations are a vulnerability to sorcery-speed sweepers on opponent turns and limited draw velocity.
