Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Dragon tribal deck commanded by Tiamat. The core strategy revolves around ramping into all five colors of mana during the early turns to cast Tiamat on Turn 5. Tiamat's enter-the-battlefield trigger acts as a massive tutor, putting five distinct Dragon threats into hand to address the board state. Key tutored payoffs include Dragonlord Dromoka for protection, Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm for token multiplication, Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund for immediate haste, and Atarka, World Render for lethal double strike combat damage. While the deck boasts high redundancy in ramp and devastating aerial power, it relies heavily on resolving its 7-mana commander and is vulnerable to early aggressive strategies, counterspells targeting Tiamat, and heavy non-Dragon board wipes before protection is established.
