Deck overview

This Golgari deck is led by Rendmaw, Creaking Nest, focusing on forced multiplayer combat and creature attrition. The deck is packed with over 30 dual-type cards—including artifact creatures, enchantment creatures, kindred spells, and artifact lands—to trigger Rendmaw repeatedly. Each trigger provides every player with a 2/2 flying Bird token that is goaded for the rest of the game. Because opponents are forced to swing these tokens into each other every turn, life totals across the table drop rapidly while the pilot remains safe behind reach blockers and defensive enchantments. Card draw engines like Deathreap Ritual and Morbid Opportunist profit from the inevitable creature trades, while Baba Lysaga, Night Witch extracts extra value from multi-type fodder. Once opposing life totals are depleted, asymmetric finishers such as Massacre Wurm, Wing Storm, or Beastmaster Ascension close the game.
