Format: Commander

Commander: The Howling Abomination

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Howling Abomination is a haste voltron/spellslinger deck. The primary plan is to cast the commander, then resolve a chain of one-mana targeted instants/sorceries to trigger its +2/+2 and 2-damage pings, finishing with double strike and trample. Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar converts one massive hit into damage to all opponents, while Zada and Mirrorwing Dragon provide a go-wide copy-engine backup that turns pump spells into card draw and token armies. The deck also has a poison/ping subtheme via Venerated Rotpriest, Guttersnipe, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Young Pyromancer. There is no hidden commander; Kediss is a support piece, and Zada/Mirrorwing are redundancy rather than alternate commanders.
