Deck overview

This Grixis deck is built around Sauron, the Dark Lord as a discard/draw and beatdown engine. Its primary plan is to bin high-value creatures through looting, cycling, and Sauron's ring-draw, then return them with Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Living Death. A hidden commander, Norman Osborn // Green Goblin, turns discarded cards into mayhem-castable spells, while Lord of the Nazgul and Saruman, the White Hand give the deck a secondary tokens/amass path. There is no registered combo; the deck wins by supercharging the battlefield with reanimated threats and closing with Scourge of the Throne extra combat. Sauron, Lord of the Rings is a powerful one-card reanimation payoff that can appear in the 99.
