Deck overview

This deck is a high-tempo Boros Voltron and burn strategy led by Lightning, Army of One. The core game plan utilizes Lightning's early deployment, keywords, and unique Stagger mechanic to double all incoming damage to an opponent until your next turn. By equipping Lightning with evasion and protection pieces like Whispersilk Cloak and Spirit Mantle, the deck safely lands combat damage to trigger Stagger and fuel massive lifelink swings. Once an opponent is staggered, the deck pivots into explosive burn finishers such as Chandra's Ignition, Jaya's Immolating Inferno, and Price of Progress, which deal lethal damage through the doubling multiplier. Defensively, the deck features a dense suite of combat deflection spells like Deflecting Palm, Comeuppance, and Return the Favor, turning opposing aggression into lethal counter-attacks while closing out remaining players across subsequent turns.
