Beorn the Fierce by user2466832

Format: Commander

Commander: Beorn the Fierce

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Beorn the Fierce leads a mono-green Bear/Shapeshifter deck that ramps hard, floods the board with changeling Bears, and turns a small army of trampling creatures into a one-sided avalanche. The primary plan is to cast Beorn ahead of curve, use his combat draw trigger to refuel once three Bears are present, and amplify the board with Ayula, Surrak and Goreclaw, and Unnatural Growth or Klothys's Design. Secondary paths include landfall Bear tokens from Dancing from Dark to Dawn or The Earth King, plus late-game recovery from Praetor's Counsel. The commander is both lord and draw engine; no hidden commander or double-faced face is required. Wilson, Refined Grizzly is a supporting Bear, and the deck is built around Beorn's face.
