Deck overview

This deck is a Jund midrange attrition engine centered on -1/-1 counter distribution and the blight mechanic, led by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The strategy establishes early mana and utility creatures before deploying Auntie Ool to convert -1/-1 counter placement into substantial card advantage and incremental life drain. Once the engine is online, the deck deploys asymmetric suppressors like Kulrath Knight, Carnifex Demon, and Necroskitter to shrink opposing boards, lock opposing creatures out of combat, and steal dying threats. Lacking compact infinite combo kills, the deck steadily converts its resource dominance into victory through token swarms from Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Flourishing Defenses, alongside passive life drain from Obelisk Spider and Lasting Tarfire. While highly resilient against creature strategies, the deck is vulnerable to spell-based combos and exile board wipes.
