Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius go-wide token combat strategy commanded by Bard, King of Dale. It leverages tribal Human synergies alongside powerful token and card draw engines. In the opening turns, the deck develops its mana with two-mana rocks while establishing early token producers like Adeline, Resplendent Cathar or Horn of Gondor. Casting the six-mana commander on Turn 5 acts as an immediate multiplier, doubling all subsequent token generation and turning minor card filtering into massive hand replenishment. By Turn 6, the deck floods the board with doubled Human Soldier tokens, creating a lethal board presence. On Turn 7, it closes the game through alpha strikes powered by Moonshaker Cavalry or Akroma's Will. The deck backs up this proactive clock with a robust suite of instant-speed countermagic, flexible removal, and protective spells like Flawless Maneuver to safeguard its army against sweepers.
