Deck overview

This mono-blue deck combines spellslinger velocity with tempo-based token beatdown. In the early turns, cheap cantrips and deep surveil spells rapidly load the graveyard with instant and sorcery cards. This enables casting Octavia, Living Thesis as early as Turn 4 for just two blue mana. Once assembled, every cheap instant or counterspell triggers Octavia's Magecraft ability to turn small, evasive tokens or creature lands into base 8/8 behemoths during combat. The deck protects its engine using Octavia's built-in Ward {8} alongside a high-density package of low-cost countermagic, which doubles as offensive combat pump triggers. Asymmetric bounce spells clear away opposing blockers, allowing the deck to swiftly eliminate opponents through sequential combat phases.
