Deck overview

This is a Mardu reanimator/aristocrats combo deck helmed by Celes, Rune Knight, built around one central engine: infinite persist loops. The commander's ETB looting provides card filtering, while her second ability - putting a +1/+1 counter on every creature you control whenever one enters from a graveyard - is the key that makes persist loops work, since the +1/+1 counter annihilates the -1/-1 counter persist grants. The primary win is assembling a persist creature (Murderous Redcap, Lesser Masticore, Obstinate Gargoyle, or Rhys, the Evermore-granted persist) with a sac outlet (Viscera Seer, Ashnod's Altar) and a payoff (Blasting Station, Goblin Bombardment, Altar of Dementia, Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, All Will Be One). Secondary lines include Luminous Broodmoth loops, Sun Titan recursion, Ad Nauseam burst draw, and a Temporal Extortion extra turn.
