Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Rakdos combo-burn deck built around Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug possesses flying, haste, and indestructible, converting any noncombat damage dealt to him into an equivalent number of Treasure tokens. The primary game plan focuses on deploying on-curve ramp and passive damage enablers before casting Smaug on Turn 6. Once Smaug enters the battlefield, targeting him with burn spells like Blasphemous Act generates double-digit Treasures while wiping the board. Most lethally, targeting Smaug with Chain Lightning forms a two-card infinite combo: Smaug takes 3 damage and creates 3 Treasures, allowing 2 Treasures to pay the {R}{R} copy cost to repeatedly damage Smaug, generating infinite Treasures and colored mana. This mana instantly fuels table-killing X-spells like Crackle with Power and Exsanguinate, or triggers machine-gun pings from Mayhem Devil, Mirkwood Bats, and Reckless Fireweaver for a clean, same-turn victory.
