Deck overview

This deck uses Kenrith, the Returned King alongside Zirda, the Dawnwaker as a companion to execute a flexible cycling, reanimation, and activated ability strategy. The early game focuses on ramping mana and landcycling large threats like Angel of the Ruins and The Balrog of Moria straight into the graveyard. Kenrith then reanimates these massive creatures at a discount using cost reducers such as Zirda and Biomancer's Familiar. The deck closes games through overwhelming combat damage powered by Kenrith's haste and trample buffs, or by assembling an infinite recursion loop using Phyrexian Altar, Pitiless Plunderer, and Cloud of Faeries to draw the deck and finish every opponent.
