BIG RED - Tannuk, Steafast Second by fortune317

Bracket: 3

DeckCheck Threat Index: 35

Deck overview

This mono-red deck leverages Tannuk, Steadfast Second to cheat massive Dragons, Dinosaurs, and artifact constructs into combat well ahead of curve. Tannuk grants other creatures static haste and gives red creatures and artifacts warp {2}{R}. This enables explosive turns where 6-to-8-mana bombs like Etali, Primal Storm, Cityscape Leveler, and Terror of the Peaks enter for three mana, trigger their abilities, and attack immediately. Although warped permanents exile at the end step, they can be cast normally later, generating continuous tempo. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with efficient mana rocks, curves into Tannuk on Turn 3 or 4, and applies overwhelming combat pressure by Turn 5. It finishes games by Turn 7 using extra combat engines like Bloodthirster, damage doublers like Twinflame Tyrant, and heavy burn triggers from Warstorm Surge. Defensive interaction like Deflecting Swat and Bolt Bend protects Tannuk from targeted removal.
