Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

The Ur-Dragon deck is a five-color Dragon combat deck that uses eminence to reduce Dragon spells, then turns attacks into cards and free permanents. Hellkite Courser is the hidden commander enabler: it puts the commander onto the battlefield with haste for one decisive attack, while Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm is the strongest alternate engine, copying each other nontoken Dragon. Ganax, Ancient Copper Dragon, Old Gnawbone, and attack triggers generate the mana for a wide board. Secondary routes are a 20-artifact Hellkite Tyrant win and the Dracogenesis-Miirym-Marang River Regent loop, with Frostcliff Siege set to Temur providing the hasty-token kill. The deck is consistent and interactive, but its best wins remain board-dependent and vulnerable to well-timed removal.
