Deck overview

This Jeskai deck focuses on aggressive Human tribal synergies paired with the Monarch mechanic. Commanded by Aragorn, King of Gondor, the strategy establishes early board presence through efficient Human creatures and token generators. Once Aragorn enters the battlefield, he immediately claims the monarch title, providing repeatable card draw. Aragorn's attack trigger prevents all opposing creatures from blocking as long as you retain the monarch, turning wide token armies into unblockable lethal strikes. Mass pump effects such as Shared Animosity, Door of Destinies, and Erkenbrand, Lord of Westfold scale the board's damage exponentially. The deck utilizes defensive deterrents like Champions of Minas Tirith and Bastion Protector to protect life totals and maintain the crown. While vulnerable to board wipes and heavy flying aggression that can steal the monarch, the deck recovers quickly through graveyard token spells and redundant combat anthems, closing out games through decisive unblockable swings.
