Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Dimir Zombie Aristocrats strategy commanded by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. The primary objective is assembling an infinite sacrifice loop utilizing Gravecrawler alongside Phyrexian Altar and a life-drain payoff like Diregraf Captain, Plague Belcher, Bastion of Remembrance, or Vengeful Dead. Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver provides exceptional resilience by replacing dying nontoken Zombies with decayed tokens, providing card draw, sacrifice fodder, and board presence. The deck features redundant win conditions, including the two-card combo of Acererak the Archlich and Rooftop Storm, as well as Mikaeus, the Unhallowed paired with Triskelion. A suite of efficient black tutors (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Buried Alive) provides rapid assembly by Turn 4. Opponents face severe attrition through Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos, while a package of low-cost counterspells protects the winning turn.
