Deck overview

Elminster pilots a UW scry-and-spellslinger strategy. The deck's core is to set up Elminster, chain scry effects into reduced instants/sorceries, and use card draw plus tutors to reach Approach of the Second Sun. Once Approach is cast, Solve the Equation, Mystical Tutor, or Personal Tutor can find it again, and the second cast wins; Narset's Reversal can also return the first Approach to hand to shorten that loop. Secondary paths are Storm Herd producing a huge flying board, Talrand drakes and Elminster faerie dragons, and extra-turn spells to push those boards through. Narset, Parter of Veils and Oath of Teferi improve iteration and planeswalker value. Deification insulates Elminster from removal, but the deck is meaningfully slower if he is offline.
