Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger and storm strategy commanded by Vivi Ornitier. Vivi serves as both an escalating burn engine and a potent mana generator, gaining +1/+1 counters and pinging every opponent whenever you cast a noncreature spell, while tapping into its power for a massive burst of blue and red mana once per turn. The deck utilizes a dense package of low-cost cantrips like Ponder, Preordain, and Brainstorm to smooth draws and rapidly inflate Vivi's power. Support creatures like Storm-Kiln Artist, Harmonic Prodigy, and Veyran, Voice of Duality amplify mana generation and trigger counts, while draw engines such as Curiosity and Lock and Load keep hands full during long spell chains. The deck clinches victory through explosive storm finishes with Grapeshot, massive burn via Crackle with Power, or an infinite cast loop using Isochron Scepter and Dramatic Reversal. Robust countermagic and protective equipment shield the commander throughout critical turns.
