Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir flash-tempo and draw-go control strategy built around Alela, Cunning Conqueror. It operates almost entirely on opponents' turns by casting low-cost instants, flash creatures, and interaction. Each first spell cast on an opponent's turn triggers Alela to create an evasive 1/1 flying Faerie Rogue token. In combat, dealing damage with Faeries goads opposing creatures, turning opponents against one another and opening clear paths for continuous aerial attacks. A dense suite of draw engines like Wavebreak Hippocamp, Slitherwisp, and Rhystic Study ensures a constant stream of fresh cards, while premier counterspells like Force of Will, Mana Drain, and Fierce Guardianship protect the board and disrupt enemy game plans. The deck wins by accumulating flying damage, draining life with Obyra, Dreaming Duelist and Faerie Bladecrafter, and letting forced combat whittle away opposing life totals.
