Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Group Slug and Attrition Control build commanded by Mogis, God of Slaughter. The primary strategy focuses on deploying resilient, indestructible enchantments that tax opposing actions, drain life totals, and systematically strip opponent resources. By leveraging a high 43-land count, the deck reliably hits every land drop to cast Mogis, God of Slaughter on Turn 4. From there, it stacks punishing continuous effects such as Citadel of Pain, Tainted Aether, Haunting Wind, and Ob Nixilis, Unshackled to constrain opponent development while chipping away at life totals. Creature boards are suppressed with sweepers like Blasphemous Act and The Meathook Massacre, which leave your indestructible commanders unharmed. In the late game, the deck leverages big mana from Cabal Coffers and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to finish the table with a massive Torment of Hailfire or Cut // Ribbons. Its chief strengths lie in its high passive resilience and unavoidable damage, though it lacks stack interaction and nonland tutors.
