Deck overview

Lorehold, the Historian leads a Boros Spellslinger and Miracle Control deck designed to bypass high mana costs through top-deck manipulation and rapid card cycling. The commander grants all instants and sorceries miracle {2} while providing a rummage trigger on every opponent's upkeep. By pairing Lorehold with tools like Scroll Rack, Sensei's Divining Top, and Library of Leng, the deck sets up expensive, game-altering spells—such as Terminus, Call Forth the Tempest, and Mizzix's Mastery—to cast at instant speed for just two mana. The primary win condition centers on Approach of the Second Sun, casting it first on Turn 6 and leveraging Lorehold's upkeep draws alongside wheels to redraw and recast it on Turn 7. Robust protection from Grand Abolisher, Deflecting Swat, and Flawless Maneuver shields the combo from disruption. While the deck lacks hard tutors and relies heavily on its commander, its high-density interaction and explosive card velocity make it a formidable midrange control strategy.
