Deck overview

This Golgari deck is commanded by Chatterfang, Squirrel General and focuses on overwhelming the board with Squirrel tokens, aristocrat drains, and overrun combat finishes. The strategy leverages Chatterfang's replacement effect to double every token generated—whether Food, Treasure, Clue, or Insect—into additional 1/1 Squirrels. The command zone doubles as a removal engine, sacrificing Squirrels for single black mana to shrink or remove opposing threats at instant speed. Card advantage engines like Toski, Bearer of Secrets and Plumb the Forbidden keep the hand full of resources. While the deck can construct multi-card death-trigger loops with Pitiless Plunderer, its primary route to victory is going wide and closing out opponents through Beastmaster Ascension, Eldrazi Monument, or direct drain from Nadier's Nightblade and Poison-Tip Archer.
