Deck overview

This Sultai deck harnesses snow permanents, counter removal, and tap-down control under the leadership of Jorn, God of Winter // Kaldring, the Rimestaff. Jorn accelerates your mana by untapping all snow permanents during combat, letting you deploy expensive spells and activate mana sinks ahead of schedule. The deck's primary win condition revolves around assembling Dark Depths alongside counter-removing enablers such as Vampire Hexmage, Mutated Cultist, or Thespian's Stage to awaken a 20/20 flying, indestructible Marit Lage token as early as turn 4. Complementing this plan is a robust suite of freeze spells, clone effects, and snow payoffs like Marit Lage's Slumber and Avalanche Caller. While the deck possesses strong mana velocity and graveyard recursion through Kaldring, its win condition relies on multi-turn combat damage that gives opponents time to find exile removal, bounce effects, or flying blockers.
