Deck overview

This Golgari deck is a high-speed aristocrats combo list led by Long Feng, Grand Secretariat. The central game plan revolves around assembling a game-winning infinite loop between Long Feng and Basking Broodscale, with Scurry Oak and Ghost Lantern // Bind Spirit providing functional redundancy. Powered by a heavy suite of 1-CMC mana acceleration, the deck consistently deploys Long Feng on Turn 2 or 3 and assembles its core engine by Turn 4. Once Broodscale gains a +1/+1 counter, it creates an Eldrazi Spawn token that sacrifices itself for mana, triggering Long Feng to replace the counter in an infinite loop. The deck converts infinite colorless mana and death triggers into an immediate win using Cogwork Assembler or library-surveilling creatures into Dread Return and Susurian Voidborn. While the deck features outstanding recursion and redundant assembly lines, it runs virtually no counterspells or protective spells, making it vulnerable to well-timed spot removal.
