Deck overview

This Selesnya deck is commanded by Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn and operates as a lifegain-driven +1/+1 counter engine that transitions into explosive token combos and lethal combat strikes. The deck ramps on early turns using land search and mana elves, deploys cheap lifegain enablers like Soul Warden and Auriok Champion, and casts Lathiel to distribute massive quantities of counters each end step. It converts this board advantage into game-ending states through compact creature loops—such as Scurry Oak paired with Rosie Cotton of South Lane or Ivy Lane Denizen for infinite tokens, and Heliod, Sun-Crowned with Walking Ballista for direct damage. With strong protection pieces like Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar and Silence, asymmetric sweepers like Damning Verdict, and damage redirection defenses via Pariah, the deck pressures the entire table while maintaining high life totals.
