Deck overview

This mono-black deck is helmed by Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and centers on weaponizing lifegain into lethal opponent life loss. Its primary win condition pairs Vito (or Marauding Blight-Priest) with Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror to form a deterministic infinite drain loop. Once assembled, any single instance of life gain or opponent life loss immediately triggers a self-sustaining chain that eliminates all three opponents on the same turn. Supporting the combo is a mono-black attrition and control package. Winter Moon punishes multi-color mana bases while leaving the deck's basic Swamps untouched, and Leyline of the Void shuts down opposing graveyard interactions. Heavy targeted creature removal keeps threats in check while alternative win conditions like Blood Tribute, Shard of the Nightbringer, and Bolas's Citadel provide burst life swings to close out games if the primary combo pieces are delayed.
