Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Simic +1/+1 counters aggro-midrange build centered on Ezuri, Claw of Progress. It leverages a dense suite of 1-mana and 2-mana ramp dorks and low-power utility creatures to deploy Ezuri ahead of curve on Turn 3. As creatures with power 2 or less enter the battlefield, Ezuri rapidly amasses experience counters that persist on the player for the rest of the game. At combat, Ezuri converts these counters into massive power buffs, turning evasive threats like Blighted Agent, Cold-Eyed Selkie, and Herald of Secret Streams into lethal clocks. The deck sustains card velocity through counter-triggered draw engines such as Fathom Mage and Toski, Bearer of Secrets, while securing resilience through The Ozolith and Heroic Intervention. It consistently establishes lethal combat pressure by Turn 5 and closes games by Turn 7.
