Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet tempo-combo strategy led by Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Breeches, Brazen Plunderer. Its primary win condition exploits a powerful rules interaction: turning an artifact-ETB damage dealer (such as Reckless Fireweaver or Ingenious Artillerist) into a Pirate. Once type-shifted, whenever an artifact enters, the pinger deals damage to each opponent, causing Malcolm to generate 3 Treasure tokens. Those Treasures trigger the pinger again, creating an immediate infinite damage loop that finishes the entire table. The deck foregoes expensive fast mana in favor of an exceptionally dense suite of interchangeable pingers, type-changing spells like Trickery Charm and Imagecrafter, cantrips, and efficient interaction. When unable to combo immediately, Breeches provides strong card advantage by exiling and casting opponents' cards off combat and pinger damage.
