Deck overview

This Abzan deck uses Ghave, Guru of Spores as a versatile engine that bridges +1/+1 counters and token swarms. The primary game plan focuses on ramping during the first three turns to cast Ghave on turn 5, followed by deploying compounding multipliers on turn 6. The deck wins by creating modular infinite sacrifice loops using Ghave, a counter-increasing permanent (such as Cathars' Crusade, Hardened Scales, or Doubling Season), and a mana engine (like Pitiless Plunderer or Utopia Mycon). These loops produce infinite enters-the-battlefield and death triggers that instantly drain all opponents to zero life through aristocrat payoffs like Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat. Asymmetric tools like Aura Shards and Culling Ritual suppress opposing boards while protecting your own development. The deck functions effectively through combat if combo lines are disrupted, though it relies on raw card draw rather than tutors to find its key mana engines.
