Marvo Pugnacious Octopus (duplicated from Pat_the_Firemind) by user5486513

Format: Commander

Commander: Marvo, Deep Operative

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Marvo, Deep Operative is the engine: each attack becomes a clash, and a won clash casts an 8-or-less spell free. The deck surrounds him with top-of-library manipulation (Lantern of Insight, Scroll Rack, Brainstorm, Jace) so clashes are usually won, then cheats in high-MV sea monsters. The primary path is combat: Tromokratis, Spawning Kraken, and other Krakens attack with evasion from Levitation and Serpent of Yawning Depths, snowballing 9/9 tokens. Backup plans include Show and Tell, One with Multiverse, Aminatou's Augury, and a Baneful Omen drain. Runo/Krothuss is only a value slot; Marvo is the sole commander, and the deck is built around his trigger.
