Deck overview

This Dimir Zombie deck is helmed by Gisa and Geralf, focusing on tribal synergy, steady self-mill, and recurring graveyard value. The primary game plan curves out early with mana rocks and low-cost Zombies, establishes the commander on Turn 4, and begins reusing milled creature cards on Turn 5. As the graveyard fills, the deck scales its board presence using potent lords like Death Baron, Cemetery Reaper, and Diregraf Captain to grant deathtouch, menace, and stat boosts. In the mid-to-late game, the deck creates decisive board pressure through mass reanimation spells like Zombie Apocalypse or massive life swings via Gray Merchant of Asphodel. While the deck possesses resilient creature recursion and strong creature removal, it relies largely on natural draws and combat damage, leaving it vulnerable to mass graveyard exile and fast noncreature combo strategies.
