Deck overview

This is a midrange Gruul Dragon deck centered on large flying attackers and explosive combat turns. Its strongest supported line uses Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar, Thrakkus the Butcher, and Atarka, World Render. Ramp from Sol Ring, mana creatures, signets, land-search spells, and Dragon-specific artifacts can assemble those creatures around turn 8. The first attack deals 24 commander damage to one opponent and spreads 24 damage to each other opponent through Kediss. Thrakkus adds 12 combat damage to the primary target. A second attack on turn 9 finishes the table if the board survives. The deck has good creature protection and strong payoff density, but its tutors do not consistently find the non-Dragon piece Kediss. It also lacks stack interaction, sustained denial, and a compact combo. Its damage plan is powerful after setup, but the expensive creatures and mostly sorcery-speed ramp leave a full turn of exposure before the first attack.
