Deck overview

This is a mono-black aristocrats deck built around sacrificing creatures for card advantage, drain life, and eventually an infinite-death combo. Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER // Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel is the ideal value commander: the front side is a cheap 2-mana engine that turns spare bodies into cards and life-drain triggers, and once four "another creature dies" triggers resolve in one turn, the back side grants an emblem that drains on every death while drawing cards with each attack. The 99 is a dense web of free sacrifice outlets, recursive fodder, token makers, persist combo pieces, and Blood Artist-style payoffs. Primary wins are infinite death loops like Putrid Goblin + Metallic Mimic + a free sac outlet, with Living Death and Grave Venerations providing a powerful value/recursion fallback. The Masamune notably doubles death-caused triggers, making Sephiroth's transformation dramatically easier.
