Deck overview

This Jund deck is commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch, orchestrating an oppressive -1/-1 counter and attrition strategy. The game plan focuses on spreading -1/-1 counters across both friendly and opposing creatures. Auntie Ool converts self-blight mechanics and counter placement on your own creatures into immense card draw, while simultaneously draining opponents whenever their creatures receive counters. Mass counter distributors like Soul Snuffers, Carnifex Demon, and Archfiend of Ifnir continuously dismantle opposing boards while generating overwhelming card advantage. Meanwhile, payoffs like Kulrath Knight create a hard combat lock by preventing any creature with a counter from attacking or blocking, and token engines like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Flourishing Defenses rapidly assemble a lethal army of deathtouch Snakes and Elves. The deck also contains an infinite death-and-counter loop with Blowfly Infestation and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons. Backed by potent removal like Fire Covenant and uncounterable tech like Hexing Squelcher, the deck dominates creature-centric pods through relentless asymmetric resource attrition.
