Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color midrange control list commanded by Thanos, the Mad Titan. It leverages Thanos's enter-the-battlefield cost reduction on his Power-up ability to repeatedly wipe opposing creatures on odd or even mana values for only {C}{U}{G}. By combining Thanos with continuous flicker engines like Teleportation Circle, Thassa, Deep-Dwelling, and Brago, King Eternal, the deck resets Thanos each turn while growing him into a massive deathtouch, lifelink threat. The 99 is packed with premium enter-the-battlefield payoffs including Archon of Cruelty, Massacre Wurm, and Grave Titan, backed by format-tier card draw engines like Rhystic Study and Trouble in Pairs. A dense suite of low-cost interaction and asymmetric stax pieces like Drannith Magistrate and Dauthi Voidwalker protects the game plan and suppresses opponents until overwhelming combat damage closes the game.
