Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity 5-color spellslinger engine led by Codie, Ravenous Codex. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost mana dorks on Turn 1 to power out Codie on Turn 2. On Turn 3, the deck begins deploying creatures with the prepare mechanic. Whenever you cast a prepared spell, Codie duplicates it, transforming cheap utility spells into massive swings: Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song nets ten mana, Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall draws six cards, and Emeritus of Woe // Demonic Tutor searches for two cards. These doubled spells feed directly into magecraft payoffs including Witherbloom Apprentice, Storm-Kiln Artist, Coruscation Mage, and Veyran, Voice of Duality. The deck achieves critical onset on Turn 4, chaining rituals, cantrips, and Paradigm lessons to drain the table of life, reliably eliminating all three opponents by Turn 5 while defending its position with cheap countermagic and removal.
