Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Zombie tribal and aristocrats list led by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER. The core strategy revolves around establishing early Zombie board presence, using recursive creatures and sacrificial fodder to draw cards, and engineering a single turn where four creatures die to transform Sephiroth into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel. The transformation grants a permanent, non-interactable emblem that drains an opponent whenever any creature dies. The deck backs up this attrition plan with classic Zombie anthems, token engines, and devastating lifedrain bombs like Gray Merchant of Asphodel. While lacking competitive fast mana, instant-speed stack interaction, or dedicated tutors, the list achieves solid synergy and resilient board rebuilding through abundant graveyard recursion. Its clock operates at a steady casual-to-focused tempo, looking to assemble an active engine by turn 4, present serious lethal board presence around turn 6, and drain or overrun the entire table by turn 8.
