Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Bird Kindred aggro-control deck commanded by Kastral, the Windcrested. It curves out with efficient, evasive flying creatures and cost reducers like Watcher of the Spheres and Stormscape Familiar, setting up for Kastral's arrival on Turn 5. Once operational, Kastral turns combat damage into a versatile value engine by drawing cards, growing the flock with +1/+1 counters, or cheating high-impact Birds into play from hand or the graveyard. The deck layers kindred anthems such as Empyrean Eagle, Steel-Plume Marshal, and Gravitational Shift to rapidly scale combat damage across all opponents. It protects its board state through cheap, synergistic countermagic like Swan Song and Lofty Denial, along with passive taxes from Esior, Wardwing Familiar and Jubilant Skybonder. While susceptible to heavy sweepers and dependent on natural card draw, the deck presents a resilient, evasive aerial threat capable of closing games through combat by Turn 9.
