Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck embraces a dedicated Jace Beleren theme, combining planeswalker loyalty engines, proliferate mechanics, and card-draw mill. Commanded by Jace, Vryn's Prodigy, the deck establishes early card velocity by looting spells into the graveyard and flipping into Jace, Telepath Unbound. From there, it deploys a wide array of Jace planeswalkers alongside defensive enchantments like Propaganda and Silent Arbiter to stall opposing aggression. Proliferate engines such as Flux Channeler, Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, and Ichormoon Gauntlet accelerate planeswalker loyalty toward game-ending emblems or ultimate abilities. Simultaneously, mill engines including Psychic Corrosion, The Mindskinner, and The Water Crystal weaponize card draw and wheels like Windfall to empty opposing libraries. Alternatively, self-mill lines close the game through Jace, Wielder of Mysteries or Laboratory Maniac. While flavor-rich and resilient to single-target removal, the deck's reliance on high-CMC sorcery-speed permanents and vulnerability to aggressive wide boards define its deliberate, mid-paced playstyle.
