Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue control spellslinger build commanded by Eluge, the Shoreless Sea. The strategy revolves around deploying Eluge early to distribute flood counters across lands through enter-the-battlefield and attack triggers. These counters grant substantial mana discounts on the first instant or sorcery cast during every player's turn, turning high-impact interaction like Archmage's Charm, Mystic Confluence, and Sublime Epiphany into ultra-efficient or free spells. Blink effects such as Ghostly Flicker, Displace, and Displacer Kitten rapidly accelerate flood counter accumulation. Once mana velocity is established, the deck leverages massive draw spells—culminating in Enter the Infinite, Sea Gate Restoration, or Finale of Revelation—to draw through the library and win on the spot with Thassa's Oracle or Laboratory Maniac. Backed by dense countermagic and board resets like Cyclonic Rift, the deck controls the table until executing a decisive same-turn finish.
