Deck overview

This Kaalia of the Vast deck is a high-synergy combat aggro strategy designed to cheat enormous, game-ending Angels, Demons, and Dragons onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. By ramping into Kaalia on Turn 3, the deck looks to declare combat on Turn 4, immediately bypassing the heavy casting costs of format-warping bombs such as Master of Cruelties, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, and Bloodthirster. A dense suite of evasive flying creatures ensures that Kaalia rarely lacks a devastating target in hand. To maintain board dominance and protect its life total, the deck integrates asymmetric ground-denial tools like Moat, Magus of the Moat, and Archfiend of Depravity, which ground opposing offenses while leaving your airborne armada uninhibited. While vulnerable to well-timed creature removal targeting Kaalia before combat, the deck possesses high threat density, allowing it to transition into hard-casting lethal flying threats if its commander is answered.
