Fungi and Trees by Griff25

Format: Commander

Commander: The Mycotyrant

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

The Mycotyrant heads a Golgari Saproling/Fungus swarm that wins by turning self-mill and sacrifice triggers into an ever-growing board. The deck mills itself early to trigger descend, then uses token bursts (Mycoloth, Thelonite Hermit, Fungal Sprouting, Saproling Symbiosis) to either trample over with The Mycotyrant or drain the table with Mirkwood Bats and Slimefoot. The graveyard acts as a second hand through Dread Return, Oversold Cemetery, Fungal Rebirth, and Squirming Emergence. There is no dedicated hidden commander; Slimefoot is the main alternate payoff if The Mycotyrant is answered. With 36 lands and heavy token density, it plays a midrange attrition game and collapses on a critical turn once board mass exceeds life totals.
