Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages Shelob, Child of Ungoliant to transform Spider tribal synergies into a board-controlling combat engine. Early turns focus on accelerating mana and deploying low-cost Spiders with reach. Once Shelob enters on Turn 5, all Spiders gain deathtouch and ward {2}, turning an extensive suite of low-cost fight and bite spells into instant-speed removal. When opposing creatures die after taking damage from a Spider, Shelob copies them as Food artifact tokens, stealing enemy utility and win conditions. The deck transitions into the late game by forcing unfavorable blocks with cards like Predatory Rampage or The Masamune, clearing enemy boards while amassing an army of Food duplicates. Victory is achieved through substantial combat damage alongside direct life drain from Ishkanah, Grafwidow and Rotwidow Pack.
