Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages Syr Konrad, the Grim as both an engine centerpiece and a lethal finisher. The deck uses early self-mill, discard outlets, and low-cost creatures to fill the graveyard while setting up mana multipliers like Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and Songs of the Damned. Once Syr Konrad enters the battlefield, the deck converts graveyard zone changes into direct table-wide damage. Its most explosive line resolves Morality Shift, exchanging the library and graveyard to trigger dozens of Konrad instances simultaneously and eliminating all opponents at once. Backup plans include mass reanimation via Living Death or Rise of the Dark Realms, as well as an infinite life-drain combo between Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Bloodthirsty Conqueror. While the deck possesses strong creature removal and robust graveyard recovery, it has minimal protection against countermagic, instant-speed graveyard hate, and noncreature permanents.
