Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai spellslinger control build piloted by Gandalf of the Secret Fire. The core strategy revolves around casting instant and sorcery spells during opponents' turns to exile them with suspend, banking value for future turns. Alongside time-manipulation tools such as The Ninth Doctor, Clockspinning, and All of History, All at Once, the deck accelerates suspended spells to overwhelm the board. Secondary synergies include dice-rolling payoffs like Farideh, Devil's Chosen and Wand of Wonder, as well as cast-from-exile payoffs like Quintorius Kand and Vega, the Watcher. Win conditions center around stacking passive burn from Fiery Inscription and Delayed Blast Fireball, backed by token armies from Metallurgic Summonings. The deck plays at a deliberate, reactive pace, requiring careful mana management across opposing turns to steadily amass irreversible card advantage and close out the table in the late game.
