Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Mardu token and aristocrats strategy led by Caesar, Legion's Emperor. The game plan focuses on deploying efficient low-cost creatures and token generators in the opening turns, casting Caesar on Turn 3 or 4, and utilizing his combat trigger to generate attacking tokens, draw cards, and burn opponents. The deck scales into the mid-game with powerful token multipliers like Mondrak, Glory Dominus, mass token engines like Horn of Gondor and Myrel, Shield of Argive, and lethal damage multipliers including Shared Animosity and Blade Historian. Aristocrat engines such as Bastion of Remembrance, Commissar Severina Raine, and Grave Pact turn creature attrition into asymmetric life drains and opposing board clears. The list is shielded by an elite suite of protection spells and defensive creatures that grant indestructible and turn-phase silence, allowing it to close games swiftly through unpreventable combat and burn damage.
