Deck overview

This deck is a highly synergistic Jeskai spellslinger and burn strategy helmed by Kykar, Wind's Fury. The primary game plan revolves around casting a high density of noncreature spells to generate Spirit tokens with Kykar, which can then be sacrificed for red mana to fuel even more spells. Instead of winning through combat, the deck weaponizes spellcasting and token generation using a critical mass of "pingers" like Guttersnipe, Impact Tremors, and Purphoros, God of the Forge. To accelerate the clock, the deck employs damage amplifiers such as Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might. The deck draws massive amounts of cards through engines like Whirlwind of Thought and Archmage Emeritus, eventually storming off to burn the table out in a single explosive turn. A secondary infinite combo exists with Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind and Curiosity.
